Sometimes we’re not first preference in peoples lives, we’re just convenient. Boom, just like that. It’s disguised as someone who hasn’t spoken to you in awhile who all of a sudden wants to hang out, but stopped including you in things. It’s disguised as (y’all know this already) that raggedy man/woman coming back after being gone for God knows how long and now he misses you. Chile please 🙄. The crazy thing is, oftentimes their reflection of us makes us treat others, or them, the same way. Doesn’t make it right but hey, it is what it is. This is why boundaries are important and should be met and kept. It’s best to make intentions and boundaries clear at the beginning of any relationship, but don’t exclude making it clear down the road what you expect. People are going to treat you however they want to, if you allow it. Sometimes unintentionally, but it may be intentional. That is DEFINITELY the time to say NOW LOOK…. I ain’t gone tell y’all to act fool after that but uhhhh 😬 gauge your situation. The most important part is you’re getting your message across clearly!
